FIFA World Cup 2026 Mascots Unveiled: Maple the Moose, Zayu the Jaguar and Clutch the Bald Eagle
FIFA has officially unveiled the three mascots for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, introducing Maple™ the Moose (Canada), Zayu™ the Jaguar (Mexico) and Clutch™ the Bald Eagle (United States). Each character has been designed to embody the culture, heritage and spirit of their host nation, while together they represent unity, diversity and the global passion for football.
Mascots to Inspire Fans Worldwide
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the mascots would bring joy and energy to the biggest World Cup in history.
“Maple, Zayu and Clutch are full of joy, energy and the spirit of togetherness, just like the FIFA World Cup itself. They’ll win hearts and spark celebrations across North America and around the world.”
The 2026 edition, the first to feature 48 teams, will run from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across Canada, Mexico and the United States. Fans can expect the mascots to appear on merchandise, in stadiums and even in video games.
Playable Mascots in FIFA Heroes
For the first time ever, FIFA World Cup mascots will be playable in a video game. Maple, Zayu and Clutch will appear in FIFA Heroes, a fast-paced five-a-side football title set to launch in 2026 across major platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. Developed by ENVER and Solace, the game combines football icons, past mascots and pop culture characters in an arcade-style experience.
The mascots will also feature in FIFA Super League Soccer on Roblox, offering themed quests and exclusive rewards.
